Fame - The Musical
120 Mins
The talented students of Emmaus College present FAME The Musical. Set in the 1980s, the production follows four years in the lives of 10 student-performers, from their acceptance into the school (“Pray I Make P.A.”) to their cap-and-gowned anthem to the future (“Bring on Tomorrow”).
FAME tells the story of each of the students, depicting their struggles, triumphs and tempestuous relationships with sincerity and dramatic effect. We see their struggles with ambition, fame, and self-confidence through the eyes of students such as Carmen, the ambitious dancer obsessed with fame, serious actor Nick and the talented dancer Tyrone, who struggles desperately with dyslexia.
Fame the Musical is a worldwide success that continues to be performed by growing generations of young performers. It provides a unique opportunity to display a diverse range of talents on the one stage, including dancing, singing, acting, rapping and musicianship.
