Join Rockhampton Little Theatre and Yeppoon Little Theatre in a joint production of The Long and the Short of It 2026. It’s a lively season of short plays, including:
Rockhampton Little Theatre plays:
A Couple Of Days by Anne Galvin.
Directed by Anne Galvin.
Kit and Wayne are a couple who have just become empty nesters. Kit’s mother Eileen arrives to disturb their newfound peace. The play is set in Victoria in March 2020 (yep, it’s a Covid play).
Seconds Out by Tony Moore.
Directed by Grace Fitzgerald with support by Tony Moore.
Ben and Jenny are having a few marital issues. This is marriage according to the Marquis of Queensbury rules, but without the physical violence.
Out Of The Flying Pan by David Campton.
Directed by Mark Roberts.
A classic piece of absurdist theatre for at least two performers. They appear to talk a lot of nonsense but, listen more closely, they aren’t.
Yeppoon Little Theatre plays:
Stakeout by Ian Westley.
Directed by Ian Westley.
Two cops are on a stakeout when things don’t go quite to plan.
Something Close To Real by Brooke Alcock Dunmore.
Directed by Esther Elder.
A young couple are caught in the complexities of the human race’s developing relationship with AI.
They Don’t Write Parts For Old Ducks, Written and directed by Bob Galley.
Two women reminisce about their life in the theatre over a cup of tea.
